I was sifting through the writing folders on my computer last night and I was a little shocked by just how many projects I’ve started over the years. Quite a few of those projects never made it past the just-an-idea phase, but there’s still a decent number that I’ve taken the time to flesh out and develop enough to consider viable for further work. A couple even have full-length first drafts attached to them, though given that in some cases these were written almost a decade ago I suspect they may need some serious work before I can safely say they’re ready for public consumption. For those who might be interested, here’s a list of those projects I’m most interested in developing further over the next few years.
Books Read: July 2013
Since getting myself a Kindle back in December 2011 I’ve found myself doing a hell of a lot more reading than I used to. As a result, I’ve decided to start keeping a record of the books I read each month. And so, without further ado, here is a list of the books I read in July 2013…
Back By Popular Request
You may be forgiven for thinking that this site, as with so many of my previous sites, has been forgotten and abandoned. Well, I’m pleased to tell you that it hasn’t. So why the long period of silence and nothingness, I hear you ask. Simply put, I just didn’t feel I had much of anything to say. However, as I’ve been getting comments and e-mails asking for an update, here it is…
A Mixed Bag
It’s been a mixed bag of ups and downs over the last couple of weeks, and not just where my writing is concerned. So, here’s a round-up of news and whatnot since my last post.
Bad Blogger, No Biscuit!
Okay, so it’s been a while since my last post and regular readers of my various online haunts will have started to think that I’ve lost interest in yet another blog. Well, I’m still here and still determined to keep this site rolling. So there.
A Return To Form
I seem to have pretty much gotten over my lost-data-what-am-I-going-do scare on Wednesday and as a result the last couple of days have been pretty good for writing. For a start the Faded Skies project is coming along nicely, with just under five thousand words in three days (and this achieved despite the presence of a full-time day job) and so far I’m quite pleased with what I’ve written. Of course, six months from now when I read it back for editing I’ll hate every word, but for now it’s the best writing ever in the history of ever and I am going to be bigger than JKR. Maybe.
