Short Fiction

Welcome to the part of the site where you’ll find a small collection of my short stories and flash fiction.

For now I’m just posting old stuff on here, much of which has already appeared elsewhere on the interwebs, but eventually I’m hoping to be able to start posting new works.

To read an individual story please click on the Read More link next to each story, and please do feel free to leave feedback if the urge so takes you.

You may also download selected stories as ebooks for use with most eReader devices and software. Use the links provided to download the stories in either ePub format (compatible with most readers except the Kindle) or in mobi format (compatible with the Kindle). Once you’ve downloaded the files please refer to your particular eReader’s instructions to add them to your library.

Faerie Dreams – This slightly whimsical, slightly creepy tale of the nighttime activities of the fae folk was originally written as a treat for an old writer friend. It’s one of only a handful of attempts I’ve made at writing something erotic and is a personal favourite. (c) 2004

The Girl in the Long Dress – I wrote this one during a short period of experimentation and if I’m being honest I have mixed thoughts about whether or not I’m happy with the results. Most of time I am. (c) 2005

Paperback Writer – This is a story I wrote as an entry for a monthly writers’ group challenge. The challenge that month was to write a story based on the Beatles song of the same title, with a target word count of a thousand words. I was over the moon when I found out that my piece had been selected as the winning entry. (c) 2006
